Why Halos Are The Most Budget Friendly Extensions

I will just get right to it— Quality hair extensions are not cheap and no matter which hair extensions method you choose, you do not want to skimp on the quality of hair. If the hair is cheap, it is going to break down faster, it could look fake from the beginning, it might not style like real hair, the extensions could fall apart and most importantly could cause damage to your natural hair. Investing in good quality hair is worth it, because I promise you, that you will end up paying more in the long run when you need to keep replacing your hair more often. But, if you are looking for hair extensions while balling on a budget, let me explain why halo hair extensions are the most budget friendly option if you want quality hair. (& like i said already, you do!)

The cost of a halo extension ranges from $150-$760 depending on the length, thickness, color and style. For those looking for length and thickness you can expect to pay more towards the higher range. With so many extension options out there you might be wondering which one you should spend your money on and which options give you great quality for a great price.

ABOUT OTHER EXTENSION METHODS

When you opt for sew in, beaded, or tape in extensions, you pay for the cost of hair (typically $150-$1500) plus the cost to install them which varies from each stylist. For example, when I install sew in extensions the cost to install is $200 per row. Typically someone will want 1-3 rows depending on thickness of their hair or desired result. So for your first appointment you can expect to pay $200-600 this is not including any custom coloring if required.

Then about every 8 weeks you will need to come and get your extensions moved up. The cost is the same as the original install appointment.

LETS TALK HAIR QUALITY

Now that Halos have become more known, there are so many different companies making them, however, not all are created equal. Some halos are made with lower quality hair, or do not have as much hair on their weft. Whether you choose to invest in a halo or go a different route for extensions, get your halo from your salon or stylist. Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, you don’t want to cut corners here because the hair simply wont last near as long and you will end up wasting money.

ANOTHER MONEY SAVER

With other extension methods, not only are you needing to come into the salon for move up appointments on a regular basis, but you will also need to replace your extension hair more frequently than you will need to replace your halo. This is because with installed extensions you are wearing them to bed, while you shower, while you workout, when you go camping, etc. They take more of a beating, which is why its recommended to replace your hair every 6-9 months on average.

With a halo, you can expect to replace it every 12 months to 2 years. If you are wearing it daily, it should last for a year if you are taking care of it and if you are wearing it a few times a week it should last closer to the 2 year mark.
